Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could assist the team enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
